Mental Health

Mental health challenges and substance use are deeply connected. Most people who come to Common Collab are dealing with both, even if only one brought them through the door.

Located in Great Barrington, MA, we treat anxiety, depression, trauma, PTSD, and a range of other mental health conditions, both on their own and alongside substance use. We serve individuals throughout Berkshire County and western Massachusetts. We don't require a dual diagnosis to work with you on mental health. If it's affecting your life, it's worth addressing.

Our approach to mental health is the same as our approach to everything else here: we don't prescribe a path. We work with you to understand what's happening, what you want to change, and what kind of support actually fits your life.

What we offer:

Our group therapy program in Great Barrington draws heavily from evidence-based modalities that address mental health directly: DBT for emotion regulation, CBT for thought patterns, ACT for values and meaning, mindfulness for stress and presence. Many of our groups are as relevant to mental health as they are to recovery, and that's by design.

Individual therapy is available for those who want dedicated one-on-one support. Sessions are tailored to what you're working on and scheduled around your availability.

Peer support and recovery coaching provide an additional layer of connection and accountability for people navigating mental health alongside recovery.

We also work closely with psychiatric providers in the Berkshire County community for clients who need medication support. While we don't offer psychiatry in-house, we help you navigate that landscape and coordinate care.

Who this looks like:

People managing anxiety or depression alongside substance use. People who've been through trauma or PTSD and are ready to start working through it. People who've tried therapy before and want something that feels more connected to their daily life. People in the Berkshires who aren't sure what's going on but know something needs to change.
